try software called Pinnacle studio, this allows you to connect your turntable to a PC, then save and burn your music

Get a turn table that allows speakers with a jack. Have the cord on one end connect to the out port of the turn table and the other end have it connect to the mic port of the computer. Then you can use the sound recorder to record it to your hard drive. Then you can burn it to a CD. You might want to break up the songs.

Yes! You can hook your record player to your computer, then burn the audio file you create to a CD. Your other option is to buy a CD recorder and hook that up to your home stereo system and make real time audio recordings on CD (these devices can also be hooked up with microphones and such for you to record your voice or whatever). Without being in a recording studio there are micraphones that plug into the computer and can record music to the computer and can transfer to a disk!
