not even 2 hours ago i bought these fake nail things, and i applied them. they look great and everything...but when i try to lift something kinda light, like a book, my thumb esp. feels like its pulling and it really hurts!

(ive never had acryllic nails before. and they were the do-it-yourself kind)

anyway to stop this pain?

your nails probably arent used to being above the skin on your finger. they have not built a tolerance to being pulled on. your best bet would be to soak them in acetone and take them off. have them professionally done or let them grow out themselves. if the pain persists, see a doctor as it could be a more serious issue.

That is pretty normal for first time with fake nails. The only way to stop the pain is to pick up things with the pads of your fingers and dont let whatever it is pull down on the nail.

A way to stop the pain is to have them removed and then get a manicure or something to condition the nails! Pain is a sign of a problem!
