he should probably leave the Yanks, I can't imagine it working out there in New York, but I can't see how it would work out for him to leave, it all depends on if they really want him out. A Rod, even if he wants to go couldn't come out and say it, he would be even more crucified then he is now, but I can't see how he could handle it. I was lucky, as a Mariners fan we don't get much to be happy about, but I saw A Rod go from a little kid, to start to become what he has become, and he was absolutely worshiped around here, but it wasn't enough, he wanted more money then any reasonable team would offer him and now he has all this, I wonder some times if he could go back would he pick the 25 million a year and this situation or the 15 or so... (supposedly he was offered here in Seattle) and be in a city where you can fall on the ground and hit into a game ending double play and go one being loved and adored. Christ if he had stayed he probably could have run for mayor.

there is no doubt in my mind that A-rod will be playing for the Yankees on opening day. The only way the Yankees will give him up is if they get a package deal with a good pitcher. The cubs are looking into that but they would need to give up Carlos Zambrano and a minor league player for that to happen. that would be a dumb idea for the cubs because their pitching staff is not so good right now and Zambrano is their ace. A-Rod would put up big numbers for them but pitching wins championships and they would be throwing away their season if they got him.

cubbies is my first bet (i dont know why he would want to go there but if the cubs are still payin prior and wood, im sure theyll pay a fortune for a struggling a-rod) i wouldnt be suprised to see him stay with the yankees though (hes a great player, hes just in a long slump which most players go through), i dont think anyone will agree with me on this last one but the cardinals, the manager (tony la russa) and scott rolen havent been getting along as of late (wont even speak to each other unless it has to do with baseball), scotty still has two or three years left on his contract but a trade for a-rod would be the cardinals best bet if rolen wants to leave, no other 3rd basemen comes even close to rolen's hitting and especially not with his defense, (8 gold gloves going on 9) no, not even david wright, i dont see a-rod going to any other team, so 70% cubs, 20% yankees, 10% cardinals

Oct 19 - Yankees GM Brian Cashman says third baseman Alex Rodriguez is "not available," the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
"I have received no offers," Cashman told the newspaper. "I've had calls of teams having interest. He's not available. That's what I've said before. I guess I'll be saying it all winter, unless something changes, and I don't anticipate that."

dodgers or angles.
no to the yankees. he needs a change of secenery. and imagin all the boooos. every time he is up to bat.
No, the WS won't get him. their payroll is at 103-ish. and they need to pick up a reliefe pitcher and lead off man. they will move 2 starters. to free up room. but money is the problem. also, the yankees would want crede. and no way would i give up him for a-rod. so no white sox.
no to the cubs. cubs don't have anything the yankees want. so no deal.
so that leaves the dodgers or angles. angles have minor league players. and they both have the money to take him on. so it will be one of the 2.

Hopefully not the White Sox....no use for A.Rod! Maybe the Cubs will take him, they take all the players who used to be good then they go on the DL for a half a year!

The Cubs!!!! (one can dream)
I don't know if the Yankees will ditch him. I mean his "bad" year is many players' "great" year. And I don't think A-Rod was the reason the Yankees lost to the Tigers. . .

Despite what Cashman says, I think they would entertain offers and jump at a multi-player trade. Not every player is a fit for every team and if he does leave, hopefully it is on good terms

Being that the Braves pitching stinks, save for a few, if they unsnap the wallet, you might see him there. Have to outscore guys now, who'd have figured they can't get anybody out anymore.
