Good question.
For a start, stop invading other countries and imposing a Western style of democracy on them. Be sensitive to the needs and cultures of other countries - all countries are not the same. Most countries have a much longer history than the US and the US could learn a lot of things from them.
Stop promoting yourselves as the World Police - that's the job of the UN.
Start supporting the UN instead of vetoing every decision that goes against Israel. They are the root cause of most of the trouble in the middle east and the US just blindly backs them.
Over the last few years the US has gone from being a country that the rest of the world looked up to, to a country that is hated by the rest of the world, including it's once friends. It's a shame what George Bush has done to your country and the sooner the better he's gone and you can start to repair some of the damage he's caused.

You ask a tough question -- First we need to elect a President who takes time to confirm facts before taking action. Second we need a President who can be as HONEST & DIRECT in reality as is claimed by the machine behind the Office. Third I think we need to stop looking at Party Politics and select the right person for the Job ....even if the Candidate is not wealthy BUT WISE Fourth, I think that when the Leader of Our Nation displays the ability to address the needs of Our Nation, then other countries will respect our leader as well as this nations people. Fifth, We NOW know the realities of Terroist and more, We therefore should fight the war on Terror by prevention not fear and NOT by Killing Inicent People. I and you as well as others can be idealistic and could be accussed of not being realistic, however Our reality is confirmed by our forefathers IT CAN COME TO PASS. Sixth WE need to start with our naibors.
As Disclosed in the beginning You ask tough Question. These are only a few thoughts

I believe the question should be: What can other countries do to improve relations with America? We do not exist to jump through the hoops of counties who harbor ill will towards the U.S.
It is also about time we kick the U.N. out of New York and ship them off to Caracas to be closer to their buddy Hugo Chavez.

America is currently the most hated nation in the world??
How did you come to this conclusion? MTV?
Remember the Christmas 2004 tsunami? How badly do you think our 'hated' packages of food, clothing and cold hard cash were rejected? It's hip to bash the US right now, but the world would weep like women if she ceased to exist.

We can stop being the policeman of the world for one, we can stop giving support in the form of money and weapons to governments that we want to see changed, third we can learn that not everyone in the world wants nor is able to handle democracy, and fourth we can stop military actions in other countries
