i haven't registered the computer or anything but i've visited the school's website on it

Your school is not going to able to see where you've been on your home computer unless they've hacked into your system or if your computer is on their network, then they will be able see what information you've downloaded/uploaded from your machine.

If you are in high school or below, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are in college and live in a dormatory, then it could be a problem. Most of the time they are not going to care where you've been (porn sites and etc...). If they monitor you, it would be for P2P softwares and other illegal file sharing transactions made through their network. Again, that is only if you are on your school's network. If you use services like cablevison, time warner cable, and etc... your school is not going to able to see where the sites you've visited unless they have a court order (but they would have to go through the police or some form of authority to do that).

I dont see anyway possible....privacy laws would dictate this...you should be OK, but stay out of inappropriate websites nonetheless...
