Well, 150 lbs on a 5'7" frame (female) is slightly above recommended guidlines. And 25 lbs is alot to try and gain for anyone. Remeber, it's never a good idea to try and fight your naturla body type too much.
However, I would recommend trying weight-gainer powder supplement, like those used by bodybuilders. Don't take the full dose, maybe 1/2 or 1/4. This will help add lean body mass (the helathy kind) and maybe add some muscle tone too, which looks good on both men and women.
Good luck :)

You are currently at a healthy body weight for your size, but if you gain 25 lbs, you will still be at a healthy weight. I think first you need to ask yourself why you want to gain the weight? Do you feel uncomfortable with your body like it is? If you really think you want to, don't make all your meals out of McDonald's Big Mac's, because even if you don't get overweight from them, it can still cause other health problems. Eat frequently, eat the normal three meals a day, and also try snacking in between meals. Make sure that you still meet all your daily requirements, you can go to MyPyramid.gov that will help you to learn about how much you need. Also, just try to increase your portion sizes at meals. Protein shakes and supplements would priobably help, but they are not very healthy. Make sure you gain weight at a slow pace, just like losing weight, because your body cannot handle it faster. Usually a good goal is about 2 lbs a week i think. Hope this helps some.
Also, I forgot about this, drink juices and milk. They help in gaining weight. :o)

You sound perfect the way you are. If you have to gain weight try eating anything high in fats. Mc Donalds Big Macs come to mind, lol. Try going to the health food store and see what they have to help you. They can advise you on a healthy way to add weight. Also i would call the doc and see what they have to say.

You don't need to gain weight, especially not 25 pounds. YOu are a perfect weight for your height. But since you asked, to gain weight you need to eat more calories than you burn up in a day. Unfortunately high-calorie food is also usually high in unhealthy things like saturated fat.

Protein shakes usually do the trick, but you should lift weights while you take the shakes. It adds muscle mass and muscles weigh more that fat. Plus, it's healthier than just eating a lot.

Yes! Drink a slimfast with each meal. I had the same problem and I gained 30lbs in 3 months doing this.

If you are female then you probably look better than you think you do. If you are a guy then start working out. I would gladly trade you 25 of my extra pounds!

wow, usually questions like this are the exact opposite!!
go eat fast foods, they are extremely fatning. Especially chinese foods.
Or maybe it's not your metabolism. Maybe you have worms, have you ever thought about that?? Just a guess.
