The ones that expect you to pay a fee are SCAMS. There really are not a lot of reputable companies that do this. Check out the local BBB directory for companies that offer this (if they exist in your area). If they ARE members of the BBB then they are legit and probably don't charge a fee to work for them ..just call them on the phone..

I could not find any at all. There is something else I found though and I made $800 per month. It was advertised on one of the many shopper websites..I think it was www.secretshopper.com?...can't remember...but....

The opportunity was working as a product representative in stores like Best Buy or Circuit City. The pay was about $20 per hour and it was really easy work. Long days though. You have to stand in a store all day long. Great money thought and I bet they are hiring for the holidays.

Look into it your local area. You can even go into one of the stores I mentioned above and ask them for recommendations on companies.

You could probably go as a super-secret shopper - just tell no-one, not even an agency, and go into business all by yourself. True, it may not pay, but you'll be your own boss, and when people ask why you're shopping all day, you can say: "Because I'm a mystery shopper". Smart eh?

You have to apply to become a mystery/secret shopper at the websites of these market research companies. They will then contact you if they have any assignment in your area. List of companies where you can apply free and links to relevant websites available at http://tinyurl.com/n474j
