They were quite popular with teenagers and college age kids in the 80's. Slasher films were in vogue from the late 70's til the mid 80's. I was a teenager in the 80's and saw many of the "Friday the 13th" films in the theater. When I look at them today as a 38-year-old I see how awful they really were. But it was fun seeing them back then.

Speaking from experience (I was in my 20's during the 80's), the "Friday the 13th" movies were excellent. Everyone wanted to be the first one in our group to see each movie when it came out.
Have a lovely rest of the evening.

They were very popular with teenagers. I remember my older sisters and their friends gabbing about them a lot.

They were huge...I was just a young kid in the 80's, and even I watched them when they came out.
