PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS
This is the longest word in any English dictionary. However, it was coined by Everett Snonal Puzzlers' League, in 1935 purely for the purpose of inventing a new "longest word". The Oxford English Dictionary described the word as factitious. Nevertheless it also appears in the Webster's, Random House, and Chambers dictionaries.

Disestablishmentarianism is a noun and this is the longest word I know of without doing any further research online. Antidisestablishmentarianism is a word I heard many years ago, but I couldn't find it in the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary. A disestablishmentarian is a person who favors the separation of church and state, esp. the withdrawal of special rights and support granted an established church by a state. .

pneumonoultramicroscopicsilico a medical word/term

floccinaucinihilipilification at 29 letters. Defined as the act of estimating (something) as worthless, its usage has been recorded as far back as 1741.

Antidisestablishmentarianism listed in the Oxford English Dictionary, was considered the longest English word for quite a long time, but today the medical term pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is usually considered to have the title, despite the fact that it was coined to provide an answer to the question 'What is the longest English word?'.

The Guinness Book of Records, in its 1992 and subsequent editions, declared the "longest real word" in the English language to be floccinaucinihilipilification at 29 letters. Defined as the act of estimating (something) as worthless, its usage has been recorded as far back as 1741.
