a pickle will conduct electricity better than a normal cucumber due to the presence of the additional electrolytes added during the pickling process. If you stick a zinc rod into one end of a pickle, and a copper rod into the other, the pickle will generate a small amount of current due to the acidity. So it's possible, depending on the resistance of the pickle, that the current will actually be higher due to the presence of the pickle.
