if they are REAL friends they would never unlike you because of ANYTHING!! when something big happens in your life you find out who are your true friends and if they do dislike you because you are gay then you don't need friends like that!
friends are like diamonds:
its easy to find coal but its the good ones and some time that make them diamonds!!
good luck!!

If they don't like you because you're gay then you don't need people like that in your life anyway. True friends will care about you no matter what. If this friend really cares about you, he will accept you. Maybe not right away, but in time. I say work up the nerve and tell him. Be honest.

Just make sure you know how your friend feels about homosexuality. I have one friend that I knew had no problem with gay people and I still didn't tell him for several years. Now that he knows, I hate that I waited so long to tell him because he was and still is really supportive.

any true friend wont care what your sexual preference is and they will accept u for u and if u decide to tell them and they dont wanna be friends anymore then they werent your real friends in the first place. plus u wann be able to talk to your friends about problems your having with a relationship adn if u dont tell them then u wont be able to be yourself adn bring your significant other around your friends when you all go out and it's nothing but drama when u have to hide the person you are with from your friends. so i say u should tell them adn then youll know in the end who your real friends are.

I would suggest you ask yourself this question.
Are you sexually attracted towards your friend?
If the answer is yes, then I would suggest you not tell your friend you're gay.
Because if you are sexually attracted towards your friend and try to hit up on him, chances are you'll lose him as a friend.
However, if on the other hand you're not sexually attracted towards him, but feel comfortable enough with him to share the news of you being gay, then go for it, and tell him.
Many young people today are open minded enough to have both gay and straight people in their circle of friends.

Honesty is the best policy. If they dont like you anymore becuase you are gay than they arent your friends to begin with.

Most likely you're friends already know or think you're gay. I have a friend who came out to me in our last year of high school. I wasn't shocked and I definitely continued being his friend. If you have female friends they most likely have probably already picked up on you're gayness. Don't worry you'll feel much better after you come out, my friend did. besides if your friend stops being your friend then they weren't your friend anyway.

People shouldn't be your friends because they are interested in who you have sex with...if you tell them you will still be the same person....if they have a problem with that --then that's their problem and it appears that they weren't that much of a friend in the first place.

Why do you feel the need to tell your friend about your sexual orientation? It's not any ones business, but your own. Unless, you want to have a sexual relationship with your friend.

Never under-estimate the power of Friendship...It will surprise you and besides "Honesty is the best policy". Doesn't he even have a doubt of what you are by the way you act?
