There are 100 members in the Senate - 55 of which are Republican and 44 are Democrat and one is indepedent. In the Senate there are 432 people - 230 are Republican, 201 are Democrat and one is independent.

7 in the Senate.....15 in the House and the Democrats are leading in enough races to make it a reality. HOORAY!!!!

2/3 of senate, 2/3 of congress. And if President uses his veto power it than becomes 60 % of both senate and house to overpower the veto of President
