I want to move out of northern minnesota, but am having trouble deciding where to move. I want MILD winters, but also want somewhat cooler summers. I hate humidity, so the south is out. I love sun, warm and dry summers, bug-free back yards, and nice people. I was thinking Idaho or Southern Montana. I travel for work, so the local economy is not a factor. I don't have kids at home, so the schools aren't a factor, either. I love rural areas; a major city won't work. However, being an hour or so from a large city is nice, but not a necessity. What are your opinions on where I should move?

Michigan...you get a lot of everything but everything is mild and do not have to worry about too many tornados, no earthquakes or avalanches, no mud slides, no tropical storms or hurricanes. Summer runs between 75-90 and winter between 10 to 45 degrees. Ann Arbor or Chelsea are wonderful and only 45 minutes from Detroit. Chelsea is very quiet, very small, some farmland and country (Jeff Daniels) lives there. Good luck

why about Northern Wisconsin. We have a cabin close to Rice Lake, Wisconsin. It pretty nice and remote and cold in the winter time, and is about Hour and Thirty minutes to Duluth, MN.

Montana is beautiful! I lived there about 10 years. Wyoming is beautiful, also. Good luck!
