The machine is called an ice resurfacing machine. It's not a Zamboni. Zamboni is a brand. Olympia also makes an Ice resurfacing machine. As well as a tractor pulling a barrel of hot water is resurfacing the ice. Sort of.

The machine is called a Zamboni, most places have two of them working at a time and they resurface the ice at the end of warm ups before the start of the game and at the end of each period. If a game goes into a shootout the Zamboni will resurface the center part of the rink.
