i learned that a woman's temp does go up when ovulation occurs.

I chart daily so I can help you... Your temp takes a dip the day of ovulation and then goes up and stays up until you start your period where it will again go back down. If it stays up and your period is late...you may be pregnant. Check out Fertilityfriend.com, they will answer all your questions about BBT charting.

Yes. Before there were ovulation tests, women would chart their temperatures. Their temp would rise slightly a day or so before ovulation.

yes....you just have to check your temp on the days that you are ovulating so you will know when you are ready to get busy...
