i went to the park a few weeks ago and saw this little girl rolling on a skateboard. Only it wasn't a skateboard, you control it like how you would control a snowboard, the carving manuevering. i was wondering what they're called and where i can pick one up.

You're probably talking about a freebord. Unlike a waveboard, the freeboard is like a long skateboard that has a lateral third wheel on each truck. The result is that the board can slide sideways.

It's just just like snowboarding in that it has to be ridden on your heel or toe edge and you need bindings to be able to control the board. It is the absolute closest you can get to the experience of snowboarding in the summer.

Is this it? It was 7 skateboard wheels per axel and the axels are curved.. looks pretty sweet.

you may be talking about the wave board. the seell them at academy sports and outdoors, or any sporting godds store should carry them.

there flowboards. ive seen them at costco but nowhere else.
