It's the same with heterosexuals. Did you choose to be straight, or did you just know you were straight? Did you choose to be gay, or did you just know you were gay? It depends on what the person thinks the reasoning behind their sexuality is. There is no one answer that fits every person. Everyone is different.

I have a hard time believing that any person would CHOOSE to be treated the way homosexuals are treated. I highly doubt they would CHOOSE to have the crap beaten out of them or even risk being killed for a "fad" or just to be different. There are things that families of homosexuals say they noticed when their homosexual family member was a child, but they didn't give it much thought & as the child grew, the mannerisms or ??? were just that person. Then later, the family member says they are gay & sooooo many things fit into place.
So YES!! I do believe that homosexuals ARE born that way.
When the bible thumpers start preaching on here about what GOD intended & what GOD wants, DON'T listen to them. GOD did NOT write the bible. NOBODY, N-O-B-O-D-Y knows what GOD wants or what GOD intended. NOBODY has the right to judge others, but I guess that is one part of the bible they CHOOSE to ignore.....
The way I see it, in the end it will ALL be thrown into a pile, the good & the bad & GOD will be left to sort it out..... Leave him to his job & the rest of these so called religious people would do well to stay out of GOD'S business... It may be THEM who he turns away from........

I don't think the answer is the same for everyone. There probably are some people who choose, but how do you explain the people who say they knew they were gay from a very young age?

That's a hard one, but I think some are born that way. I knew a boy in elementary school that carried around a cabbage patch kid doll and him not knowing that it was wrong, he did turn out gay and he was also a genius and had a great family. Some were just so abused by the oposite sex that they decided to turn to the same sex because they felt more comfortable. You just never know I think it's a mystery.

Choose to. God wouldn't be fair to condem it if someone was born that way and didn't have a choice.
WE make choices ......God gives us the freedom to follow him or not and decide if we will Obey. It is for our own good to obey God's word. We want to do what we want, but God is all wise and he created us and died for us. What more can we give back than our lives. Everyone will face Eternity .
It does seem like some have a very feminine side and that may be hormones.....not sure. And some women have a masculine side and try to look and act like a guy. Their minds seem hardened to the Truth though.

i think that some people are born gay but also i think that some people choose ta b gay for some reason like they could have had something happen to them when they was a child i think this is one of those questions that we will never really understand my twin cousins jesse was all boy and jamie well he had 3 holes in his heart when he was born he went threw all kinds of surgerys as he got older we worried about him because he had sesisures (dont think i spelled that right) so him doing that he really never got ta play rough with the boys so he got ta play barbies with the girls so i kinda think that all us girls made him that way but well never no then i have another cousin Alicia she had a rough life her mom would have men in and out of the house when her dad was at work she drank all the time she was in and out of bars all the time diffrent men all the time but her dad stuck around untill her mom ran off then he just couldnt take care of them his self he was a good guy and loved his family well anyhow she liked guys and would talk to me about this guy and that guy when her mom gave them up they lived with diffrent family members untill my aunt addopted her and her sister when her mom got sick and died after that she found this older woman and moved off with her so it was diffrent for both cousines and all i can say is that i love them both no matter what kind of a life style they live

Being gay is a choice, because God made people the sex he wanted them to be, if he wanted them to be the other sex that's the way he would have made them.

gay people are NOT born gay. homosexuality is a decision that ties into pshycological ideas. Basically, people think they are lesbian, when it is really all in their mind. they say that they have felt that way since they were young, but its only phsycologic. its definately a choice.
