Yes, but he was not the first person to fly across the Atlantic ocean. Two British pilots John Alcock and Lieutenant Arthur Whitten Brown crossed the Atlantic 8 years before Lindbergh
Lindbergh made the first solo flight across the Atlantic.
Lindbergh was however, the most ignorant and xenophobic man to ever accomplish this feat.
