Yes, I think that gays should be allowed to marry. Love is love, regardless of the genders involved. If one group is allowed to marry, then ALL groups should have the same rights.

Why do so many people put so much effort into saying how they are all for gay rights and don't want to offend anyone, and then explain how marriage is between a man and a woman and the bible says so? To you(a straight person) you see a marriage as between a man and a woman because you see a real relationship as between a man and woman. That's what it is to you personally. To us a real relationship is between a man and a man. For lesbians a real relationship is between a woman and a woman. That is our reality. Why do you all insist on stigmatizing us? There is no reason we need some different label for our relationships. They are loving committed relationships. We create families. Your division is part of the divide in society that leads to bigotry and discrimination. Marriage came about before religion adopted it. Marriage is a legal union. If a church doesn't take the legal steps the marriages they perform are no more recognized than those that gay people have all the time. There haven't been any civil unions to provide all the same rights as marriage, not even close. A gay US man can not marry the person they love and keep them in the US. That is just one huge difference. Look at Suzie Orman. She is a multimillionaire lesbian. If she dies before her partner her money will be subject to huge inheritance tax. It should just become her partners like it would in a marriage. It'a a massive amount of money that truly belongs to both of them, but because of bigoted laws that put bigoted religion ahead of state this woman in the face of loosing the love of her life is also going to loose an enormous amount of retirement money. Isn't that just so sweet of the government. It's probably one of the reasons some people in government try to keep us from having marriage. Think of how the dollars add up, not just in inheritance tax, but also in the lack of tax benefits we have. But really above all of that, the stigma is so wrong and un-necisary. If you don't think the stigma is a big deal than why do you think letting us marry is? They are the same thing. They are one. Just because you can't feel what we do for the same sex doesn't mean that we can't feel what you do for marriage! Where I said a gay US man can't keep their lover in the country I was referring to a situation where the other man is not a US citizen.

Explain logically why being gay is wrong. In a different perspective it can be a form of population control. Why do people get married? To have a partnership in order to survive, to have exclusive sexual interactions to prevent disease, and someone who shares your interests. Why should those things be the sole rights of a man and woman union? Homosexuality is shared by many other animal species to show affection and form relationships. If it is wrong for you fine, but if it is right for other people why deny them that? And there are animal marriages. Just watch some celebrity channels enough and you may see a celebrity dog or cat marriage. There are animal husbandry courts out there.

"Come on people use some common sense" yes, just like you said and I personally think you need to use some!
It isn't exactly nice to compare a certain type of people that have different beliefs than you to an animal but do what you want.
Yes, they should be able to get married. Why? Because marriage is about love and not gender.

No, gay people SHOULD NOT be allowed to marry. The reason God made man AND woman, was to have children to populate the earth. Can 2 men have children together? Can 2 women have children together? The Bible specifically states that homosexuality is wrong. 1 Corinthians 6:9-----Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders-------will inherit the Kingdom of God. IF you are unrepentant, of your ways, and accept Christ, only then will you be forgiven.

Yes gay people should be allowed to marry. (No, I am not gay, and yes I am married.) Gay people deserve a lot of stuff they aren't going to get, thanks to peanut heads like you. Also, common sense? Why does limiting marriage to hetero couples imply common sense? BTW, do you not watch human interest stories at the end of the local news? Dogs get married all the time.

I am not gay or anything but, I think that gay people are great. I love gay people they are nice and they are happy all the time. If they want to get married let them you have that right and they are people with feeling just like you. I hope that you don't have children because you just might have it in for you talking about people that is what you will get.

You do not mix dogs with human nature. Futhermore it is against God's will for a man or woman to marry in the same sex line. So what kind of glory are you seeking here. What's next is for you to accept the fact that it is indeed wrong no matter what. Futhermore dogs do not need a ceremony like humans do and dogs cannot do all the functioning humans do.

Its seems you have already made up your mind. Why are you asking for othe ppls opinions?

Yes, 2 ppl of the same sex can have a relationship! They are people, NOT dogs! Why do you care if they want to get married? It has nothing to do with you!

How dare you compare people to animals?? A hundred years ago, blacks and whites weren't allowed to marry. Marriage is not a religious institution, it's a legal institution. God did not create marriage. What gives you or anyone else the right to decide what people can and cant' do. Get a life and a different soap box.
