It seems that every 3 or so cycles my famale emotions are a little over board. I think thoughts like my life is useless, no one cares about me and even thoughts like maybe everyone around me would be better off if I weren't here any more. Then once my period starts then those feelings go away. My husband and children love me, even though I can't confide in my husband about my emotions. I do have some issues I need to deal with. Should I talk to the Dr. about antidepressants?

I have depression around my period too. Definitely talk with your doc if it is interfering with your life and psychological well-being.

NO! this country is so over medicated!!!! i get that depressed EVERY period, but i recognize it as just my hormones and know it'll pass in 2 or 3 days. just accept it for what it is, PMS, and don't take brain altering substances just because of a few days every 3 months.

it seems as though the older you get the more common this is; I wouldnt necessary consider antidepressants as of yet, but you may want to look into some counseling just to take care of unresolved issues you may still be holding on to.
