I had the same thing happen. My baby was born 5lb (2.2kg) because he was starving. Had he been born earlier he would have been a little bigger. Still he made up for after he was born and powered on. I was induced then had emergency caeser. As soon as the kid is born they will be okay. So really anyway you look at it you will both be okay. Telling someone not to stress is a bit stupid when you have 2 3/4 kids!

If your doctor feels it should be alright to induce then im sure everything will be ok... u need to relax cause as u know already babys are alot of work and a fussy baby alot of stress
if your 37 almost 38 weeks the lungs should be developed enough and its just like natural birth and not all babies are the same
I loved your statement about being worried about worrying you should just relax maybe get a pedicure and a message
I myself am 33 weeks and have only gained a pound in the last two weeks... and got really worried that my baby isnt growing.. which my doctor said isnt the case its just im accually losing weight because of the extra stress in my life right now ( eg. my doctor wont be there for the delievery and neither will my dad who is my strenght though all this)
Im sure everything will be ok

Try deep breathing techniques, a walk, reading, or something that you enjoy to relax and calm down. I know it can be difficult, especially when there is stress from outside circumstances, but I'm sure you will do fine - just hang in there.
If your Dr. thinks it is best for you to be induced, maybe this is something that you should consider. I was induced at 37 weeks, and my baby was fine. She was a little jaundiced, and I had to take her back to the hospital twice just so they could do a quick blood test to make sure that she was improving. This is very common in babies that are delivered a little early.
Good luck to you, and I wish the best for you and the baby.

Oh sweetie i know what you are going through. My son wasn't growing due to the mass amounts of calcification on the placenta. I was 37 weeks2 days when i was induced. You will be fine hun,and so will your baby.Atleast your doctor is monitoring your baby closely so induction will solve the problem. The baby will be better outside then in.I know this is so hard for you but everything will be just fine. Try to breath in slowly to ten and slowly our of your nose to ten a few times,it will help your body to slow down and relax a little. I understand stress too,i have 6 little ones and its hard to worry about so many responsibilities to take care of.Good luck to you,sit down have some hot tea and relax, you deserve it.Everything will work out for your family.

At 37 weeks you are full term, so you do not need to be concerned that the baby will have problems from coming early. If you absolutely do not want to be induced talk to your doctor about it. You cannot be forced to do something you do not want to do. Ask about an alternate plan such as starting regular non-stress tests and biophysical profiles to assess the fetus's well-being and make sure she is continuing to do well despite the lack of growth.
I am so sorry you are having so much stress in your life right now and that it is effecting your pregnancy.

I wish you the best of luck!! The best thing that you can do for your unborn baby is to follow doctors orders. Try to calm down. Take a bath and relax, go for a massage, or go for a walk. meditation can work, but you have to focus on putting all of your thoughts out of your mind. I picture my favorite place, I went to Canada on vacation a few years back, and there was this beautiful cove, there was a beaver swimming back and forth splashing his tail at us, it was the most Serene thing i have seen. that is what i picture when i need to chill. i hope you can find that place for yourself!!!

if the baby isnt benefitting from being inside u, it might as well come out. i think babies r ready for the real world at 35 weeks. doc must be certain that lungs are really ready tho.
whether ur induced or not, perhaps u shud be trying to destress cos i assume ur source of anxiety will still be there if ur induced now.

Try meditation or yoga or watching a movie. When I was pregnant with my son and really stressed, I'd have a glass of red wine because it would relax me. My doctor told me I could have one glass of wine per week. Ask your doctor what he can do to help your stress.

I strongly advise Yoga for pregnant women. First, consult your doctor about it to make sure it is okay for you to do so, but yes, it will help the mind, body, soul, and baby! Good luck. Also, talk to God. He gives us what we need, and that's what matters. I was told my daughter was only going to be 6 lbs, and she turned out being 7 lbs, 6 oz.
