I'm actually not a total liberal. I'm pretty moderate on most issues, maybe a bit left of center. But there are certainly Republicans I respect and support, and there are Democrats I'd never vote for.

But I don't understand how anyone can support the Bush administration. Look at the record.

Iraq. A total mess. They lied about why we went there and now they won't admit that maybe things aren't going perfectly well. And don't give me that 9/11 garbage. Nobody honestly believes that has anything to do with why we're there.

Corruption. These guys are the most corrupt, power-grabbing, secretive, group we've ever seen. They make up laws as they go, ignore the Geneva conventions, torture prisoners, illegally wiretap, etc.

Incompetence. These guys can't do anything right. Afghanistan at least was justified. But they blew that. They are blowing it in Iraq, they are destroying the economy and our schools.

After six years in office can we stop blaming Clinton?

How bad do they need to get?

Easy. If you feel that way, don't vote for Bush.

I can't believe people can feel so strongly about the war in Iraq that they are willing to change their vote to Democrat.

Are there any other issues left in America? Do the Dems yet have a plan other than attacking the right?

the alternative, the libs in power is a lot scarier than anything i can think of. we will have an end to the tax cuts that have driven this economy to record growth. taxes would be raised. we would become appeasers to terrorists and find ourselves blown to kingdom come. illegals would run amok more than you ever dreamed. our soldiers who fight and die would have their sacra fices swept aside as if they were nothing and the liberals would have us bowing and scraping to the UN and the socialist europe trying to scrap our constitution and make us more like the touchy feely euros. there are a few things that i can come up with for the nonce....

I'm with you. I put my question along the same lines below. No one that supports Bush has an answer.
As screwed up as Iraq is, it is Bushes crowning accomplishment. Without it, he's done nothing except screw up (Katrina, Afghanistan, Harriet Meyers, etc.). With it, he's done nothing but screw up.

Ignorance and fear. People are afraid someone's going to steal their crayons or think their crayons are foxy, so they break the crayons in half and start shoving them into corners hoping no one will notice.
