If a code has never been entered, and it is still on default setting from manuf., the most common codes are 1234, 9999, 0000, and 1111

I think you unlock a cell phone by entering you password because if you want to lock a cell phone you have to create a password but if want to unlock it you have to enter the password you made.

if you're talking about "unlocking it" as in for it to work with other providers rather then the one you bought it for...you need a special software...
