a little vague but i believe this must be for some debate. just think about it the other way around and think why do people believe it. maybe it won't change your ideas but it will help you to understand. if you are doing this for fun, (which doesn't make sense)only advice is just be yourself don't change ideas because you want to impress someone else. you know what i mean.

I like to look at Life as a forever learning experience so, your question..." How can I teach myself to believe an idea I do not believe"??? If you know the idea is not true and you really don't want it too be true, then you will never believe the idea,so...
When you change the way you look at things - the things you look at change...

You need to have an open mind to accept any new idea.A person needs to question ideas to learn but if you don't approach the concept with an open mind you will not process all the information and may overlook a critical point.People once believed the world was flat.It took the courage of the explorers to disprove this "fact".

The subconscious mind can be programmed by repetition: the more a statement is repeated the more it can shake an already existing belief provided that 1) either the conscious mind is absent or 2) that the source of the idea is trusted. For more information on programming someone’s mind check out this guide. You can even program someone to fall in love with you, in my book, how to make someone fall in love with you i pointed out how can repeating certain words or phrases result in making someone fall in love with you. Its no magic, beliefs are formed by repetition and if you managed to repeat a certain belief enough times a person may actually start to believe in it too

Well, if this "idea" is something that is a written fact, read more on it and get more facts about it, and perhaps you'll believe it with "more" info. However, if it's just something someone has "said" which has no basis of fact, don't worry about it, okay?

Well... I guess you can learn more about the idea. understand it and in time you may grow to accept it. However if you don't believe it to begin with then you won't change your mind so easily.

Mabey you can be brain washed into believing something that you know deep down inside is false; but you can't really believe something that you don't believe.

nicely, i do no longer know what the context is... Is it faith, or politics... or technology... relatively you are able to no longer have faith what you do no longer have faith. in case you prefer to have faith something, you may desire to supply up no longer believing in it for slightly. then you definitely might desire to benefit out the opportunities; what you used to have faith, and all different possibly and pertinent suggestions and reasons. Then by way of what you have got here upon, with any luck you are able to arrive at a sparkling and concept-out end and make certain what that's which you relatively prefer to have faith.
