I always thought of myself to look normal and not bad (not ugly not particularly THAT attractive) and i have a slightly big nose. It isnt misshaped or bent or anything just a little big. I'm 17 and relatively wealthy and my mom and sister want me to get a nosejob because they think i'll get more girls. I think it is a feminine idea so I am apprehensive but I dont know. Now is the time to do it because I go to college next year so everyone at college wont even know. Please advise. ( i would get one of the best doctors too ($10,000) so I know it really wouldnt look worse)

I think if you want to do it to make your self esteem higher, then you should go for it. If the money is not an issue, again, go for it. Plastic surgery is so common these days, don't think of it as a feminine issue. More and more men are having it done these days and just don't talk about it. It's nothing to be ashamed of. I'm scared of needles, so more props to you!! And don't do it b/c your mom and sister want you so you'll get more girls. Do it b/c YOU want to. And remember, there are girls who will like you for who you are. Big nose or not. I think it adds character and adds to who you are as a person. ultimately, Only you know what the right choice will be.

Oof. I hate to say it, but your mom and sister sound way shallow. I can't believe your *mom* of all people isn't telling you the standard "you're great just the way you are" line that all mothers are supposed to use.
Plus, do you really want a girl whose deciding factor to date you is the size of your nose?
Just wait till you get to college and see how you do with girls then. 17 and in high school doesn't really count. I'm sure you'll have no problems with girls if you're a good guy, which you sound like. You just need to get out of your mom's little world.

Leave you nose the way it is. You will find the right girl regardless of if your nose is "too big" And if that is what makes a girl like you or not, then she is not worth your time in the first place.

A woman should love you, not your nose. It sounds like your mom and sister are alot more bothered by your nose than you are. Who is to say that your "new nose" will attract more girls? If your personality repels them now, it will with the best nose job. But, you sound like a humble, self- assured person. Chicks dig self-assured, nice guys more than anything else. I promise. But if you, yourself really want the nose job, go for it, but remain humble and self-assured.

Nah, you shouldn't get a nose job that's to much of an insecure chick thing to do. Besides girls don't stare at guy's nose, (not unless it's grossly large like 6 inches long...lol) we stare into his eyes. It's in a guy's eyes that you see his intentions.

Absolutely not!! That is very shallow of your mother and sister (no disrespect intended) to suggest plastic surgery...especially 'to get more girls.' Any girl worth 'getting' won't care what your nose looks like. And any type of surgery is risky.
