Caesar was responsible for conquering the entire area around the Mesopotamian sea. He also conquered much of western europe, from spain to england. He did not conquer any of the Germanic states past the Danube river, past mesopotamia, or much further south of northern coastal Africa. The silk roads were only just developing as trade routes between the West and the East and there were two empires between Rome and China, the reminants of the Persian empire and the Asokan empire in India.

What's all this nonsense about Caesar conquering areas around the Mediterranean and Britain?! The Mediterranean was well Roman long before Caesar was born and he INVADED Britain twice but was beaten and didn't conquer the island. Britain was conquered around 100 years after Caesar's death.

What Caesar did conquer was Gaul (present day France, Belgium, and Switzerland) and it took him 10 years to do it. Read his Gallic Wars commentary.

Caesar was planning an invasion of Parthia (in the Middle East) when he was assassinated.

No - never even came close to it.
There is a Myth/Story/Legend of a Roman Legion being destroyed while trying to expand the Empires' borders around the caspian Sea and the survivors being taken to a city in what is now far western China. The inhabitants do not look strictly Oriental, and it is thought the Legionaires inter-married with the locals (Kind of like the "Lost Colony on Roanoke Island, NC in 1587).
