Vaseline, maybe. If the chafing is when you are running or otherwise exercising, wear fitted bike shorts underneath your workout shorts and the shorts will rub together instead of your thighs.

If the skin is chaffed already do not apply Vaseline. All that will achieve is acting as a barrier to your already broken skin. You need to apply Sudo Cream or similar antiseptic cream. Please do not apply deodorant this will infect the broken down area and will really burn. If your thighs are rubbing together as others have suggested already you need boxer shorts, brushed cotton ( sort of stretchy material. Keep using the sudo cream. Once your legs have healed....use E45 everyday. Talc is one of the things that enhances this problem and will only make it so much worse.

If you just put deodorant on the insides of your thighs it will make the friction go away and it will prevent chaffing

I would try cycling shorts (without seams) and nothing on underneath, may sound grim but is actually very comfortable and will stop any chaffing.

Wear comfortable briefs or boxers, not too tight.; Apply Vaseline daily & leave it on, this will help heal the dry irritated skin.
