Assuming you didn't melt halfway through.

If the digging was completed and you just had a tube going through the earth and you jumped in, you would fall towards the center of the earth accelerating the whole time until you flew past the center of the earth. You would continue into the other half of the earth with your feet still towards the other end of the tube. The gravity would cause you to decelerate and come to a brief stop and then start to fall back towards the center. You would ping pong back and forth through the earth until eventually coming to a stop in the center, from there you would have to climb out either way.

Maybe Richard Branson could do that to the moon...just convert the whole moon into a gigantic amusement park.

From the starting point to the center of the earth, you'd be digging straight down. As soon as you pass the center, though, you'd feel like you were upside-down. From the center of the earth to the other side, you'd be digging straight UP, and you'd have to hang on to the wall so you don't fall to the center.

Well, if we assume you didn't melt or get fried, then it would be natural to come out head first. You COULD come out feet first -- but it would be like going up a ladder feet first.

Headfirst cause gravity is oriented toward center of earth. After you got past the middle, your are digging your way up to surface.

You would burn to death as you reached the hot molten lava deep inside the Earth, and you would never get through the Earth's core either.

If you dig head first, I'd say you'd come up head first. That is unless you turn around.

It depends on how you were digging...are you digging bent over or are you digging while you lie in the hole?
