how to start movie theatre (especially an Dollar Theatre)?

I had an idea to open a closed multiplex as a Dollar Theatre and a children's saturday morning movies (like the old days!!)
Does any one have ideas how I could get information on Movie Distribution and public shownings?

Here is a list of the major movie distributors:

.. you are going to have to contact them to see what it takes to get the movies from them and at what cost. This is going to take a little leg work to get it to happen. I would suggest going to another city say 75 or 100 miles from where you are wanting to open this and see if you could visit and talk to somebody who already is doing this in the other city .. they may be willing to share their "secrets" with you including distributors contacts, etc.
