Go to a counselor or psychologist. You don't need to go through that much sadness alone. You may need medication to help as well as behavioral guidance.

Well first I'd ask the therapist to recommend Psychiatrist for some medication-with so many safe products one can use to help no need to suffer-only a Psychiatrist can write prescrptions and if your therapist is already one then ask him/her. Arer you finding out why you are so extemely sad-cirumstances in your life or are you just depressed-ask about chemical imbalance of the brain. What I do is I pet by Bunny(Pet) who is always so glad and dances around the room-she lives in bunny proof room(safe) when she sees me. she'll snuggle with me as I pet and stroke her an then she'll kiss me on the cheek-Always feel better when I spend time with her for so much love. Weather permittin and if during the day I'll go to the Park and go up the mountain-world's largest piece of Granite and sit up there -Approx 2miles high-and let the sky, clouds and the breeze in my hair lighten my load until no sadness, I will also start thanking God for all the things I can possibly think of that are good in my life from the deep stuff like glad that I have faith to strengthen and give me hope to the very trivial like getting a good haircut. I'm glad that just being outside in nature always makes me feel better too. Sometimes if I'm trouble I'll jog in the Park or climb up the mountain for exercise sends endodorphins to the brain-lifts the mood, make a person feel good. Or I go to the mall buy a large ice cream cone and sit by the fountain, eating my cone and watch the people and it clears my mind-concentrating on the colors in the water lisening to it and then watching the different people go by-relaxes . I hope that you get help-but do find out why so sad for if chemical imbalance the right medication will make a very big difference.

When is intense, it is time to investigate sadness.
I fell where it is in the body, how it is, what it makes me do, what thoughts are coming up in connection with it.
I stay with this sadness for a while and let it do what it does.
Just watch it, feel it, grive it, cry it...whatever happens I AM WITH IT! Sometimes it leaves right away or sometimes takes a little longer and sooner or later I feel a great sense of freedom and lighteness or hapiness because I just gave it the attention and found out that it just passes through me but it is not Who I Am.
And I still continue with the same process until I feel complete relief.
Sometime sadness is very deep rooted, suppressed form of energy, that we did not pay attention to, and when is intense I do what it askes me too: it wants to leave and I let it go!

I felt like this once for almost a week. I had just finished shopping for a grad dress with my mom when I suddenly felt so sad. I remember think that I wanted to die from this, it was just so sudden and intense with no reason, logical or otherwise, for it. The day had gone great, and so had the rest of the week but I just felt so unbearably depressed.
What I did was simply to wait it out. I never told anyone how I felt nor did I show how I was feeling. This might not be the best way for everyone but for me it worked well. I found strength in conquering my depression and that led me to feel even better. Good luck and keep faith.

Sorry if you're feeling this way. It's horrible. It sounds like depression and if so, then it's important to get help. Also, if you can summon the motivation (tough when you're feeling like this) go for a walk. Light exercise helps stimulate the brain and increase production of the chemicals that put you in a better mind set. Good luck.

My intense sadness is usually brought on by the perception of suffering in people that I love, and the feeling of being helpless in regards to alleviating their suffering.
When I am like that I just sort of resign myself to the fact that I cannot fix things. Usually afterwards I begin to have the perception that while we all suffer, due to the fact that we all suffer we can have tremendous compassion for one another. Then I begin to see all the acts of compassion that I have been a part of and how compassion gives life grace, even in spite of all the suffering.

I usually do all the wrong things, to make myself feel better,
i have learned to handle sadness different from the past,, but therapy, and medication does help.
Depression is ugly, and cruel, actually it is invisable, yet an illness and without begging for attention and whinning everywhere, so people around you understand, or want to help , noone knows and it is lonely,,
I really hope you get help, and be good to yourself, and forgive yourself if you feel guilt, and do not dismiss your pain,, try to come to terms with it, own it, and then let it go, (easy for me to say), BUT IT IS TRUE, I ALSO STRUGGLE WITH THE INVISABLE DEMON CALLED DEPRESSION AND SADNESS,
REMEMBER, YOU ARE IMPORTAND, AND YOU HAVE VALUE AND PROBABLY MORE VALUE THAN YOU WILL EVER RECOGNIZE.. AND ONE MORE THING,
GOD, MADE YOU, HE INVENTED EVERY DETAIL OF YOUR ESSENCE, AND,, YOU ARE FROM HIM, SO YOU ARE RELATED, RELATED TO ROYALTY, IN THE HIGHEST.. I PROMISE, THE PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE DOES NOT INCLUDE PAIN,, THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WE DO TO OURSELVES, AND NOT REALIZE IT WHEN HAPPENING.
PS JUST READ THE ANSWERS YOU HAVE SO FAR, AND SEE THAT EVEN STRANGERS, CARE, AND COME TOGETHER FOR YOU,, BECAUSE YOUR SPIRIT CALLS OUT, AND OUR SPIRITS, HEAR YOU,,
BECAUSE WE ARE ALL RELATED,,
GOOD LUCK, THINK OF ALL THE GOOD, AND REJECT ANY NEGATIVE THOUGHTS,, OK OK THEN,,

When I was younger, I would cut myself... But don't go that far! (not a good idea seriously). I suggest you call a hotline.. That have people you can talk to, that can help you out. Look in your local phone book.
Or listen to a really peppy and happy song (i.e L'arc en Ciel's Feeling Fine.. )That will blast away sadness almost instanly.

My dad always says you can choose to be happy or you can choose to be sad. I bet that sounds ludacris, but think about it. Think about what is going right in yur life and focus on how you can make it better. This simple action can raise endorphin levels in your body and trick your brain into thinking your mood has improved! And since smiling is completely under your control, you can use it as a defense against bad moods, feelings of depression and anxiety, and even frustration.

seek professional help, first. You may have a medical condition. What do you think is making you sad? It could be situational depression, when something heavy is going on. Sometimes is normal depending on the circumstances: Divorce, death of a loved one, unemployment, moving, a break up, etc.... God Bless you!

Demon Doll seems to know how to cope with the unbearable.
Maybe buy a new kitten. Life is hard, too much to think about. Not like the good old days when we )our ancestors) had to worry about food onthe table heat for the house, and who was going ot shoe the horses. You know?
