I'm 20 weeks pregnant, and I just started about a week ago feeling hard pokes inside my stomach. Is that my baby starting to kick? I never really ever felt the "butterflies" that everyone talks about and at one point I was worried about my baby, but when I had my last ultrasound 2 weeks ago, my baby was very active, big and healthy on the screen, so I stopped worrying. Is what I'm asking is if the fast harsh pokes are my baby kicking? I've felt them 3 days in a row now & I am very excited!

Yea, wait until you start seeing your tummy moving in and out, really cool. But, as the baby get bigger there can be some times it not feel good. I have heard a few women talk about getting a strong kick or punch.

Yes that is probably the baby you feel kicking. I am having my 4th baby and I have never felt any butterfly like feelings before that others talk about either. Just the kicks.

What you are describing definitely sounds like your baby is kicking! My son started kicking when I was about 20 weeks along. You'll feel pokes and nudges in a variety of different ways (I even had my bladder kicked a few times). Later on, you'll even see their movements and kicks (weird, but entertaining). Congratulations and good luck!

Sounds like you are feeling the baby kick. Yeah!!!! Being able to feel the baby is a neat milestone in your pregnancy.
Just wait until you are farther along in your pregnancy, and not only can you feel the kick or punch, but you can see it too (little bulges from feet or hands just poking up a little bit from your tummy).

I'd say that it is the baby. Try poking back at your stomach to see if your baby moves b/c of it. That's what I did & my daughter would kick back.

Oh, I would say yes! My doctor told me with my first pregnancy to drink something cold and then lay in bed on my stomach, and I'd probably feel the movement again. (I had the same question as you, I wasn't sure if it was 'it'!) It will get stronger and stronger now every day! Enjoy every minute!! How wonderful is the miracle of life! :)

Sounds like it, just wait till you start seeing your stomach move around, I'm 36 weeks and my stomach looks like a water bed when he moves around in there, you can see where he is kicking and punching, your stomach raises, my husband likes to watch my stomach change shapes with me.
