Yeah, I hate it too. Probably because I never went to a Big College School. It's boring and it seems it's always an outmatched game with 50-3 scores. A few elite teams play a bunch of crap teams and whoever wins one or two games against two good teams is the victor! Unfortunately, the NFL is turning into this too, but there is more parity than in college sports.
Whoever says they just play for the game is wrong. Most of them are playing to be drafted by NFL teams so they make a helluva lot of money.
NFL is awesome. NFL players are already making a lot of money so they want to WIN. NFL players who suck, don't make it very long. That is their JOB. College football blows unless you went to a big school in the conference or you are a masochist.

What in the world would make you choose professional football over college? College ball is the pureness of the game. The players in the NCAA are playing from their hearts, not for the paycheck at the end of the game. Yes - some of them make it to the pros, and that is a drive, but that isn't the reason they risk themselves during that game. They are doing it because they truly love the game, and that they are looking to win for the pride of their school. The pros are looking to win for the money. Sure there are a few that love the game, but most love the money more.
If you don't like it, I say just leave the room, or maybe invest in another television, and make sure that it is yours (per say). Either that, or choose that time to go out shopping.

I understand if you dont like college football. Just go and do what my ex wife used to do. Go shopping . As for it being boring like some posters have said. I totally disagree with that statement. Obviously they have not watched many college games. Like for example the Texas - Michigan bowl game a couple of seasons ago. Or the Texas - USC title game from last year. Those are just a few examples I can site right now. I could go on and on and site a lot more examples from the past games to prove how exciting they can be. Not to mention the fact college games play all the way to the end and keep trying to score no matter what the score is in the game. The only thing I dont like about college is the ranking system used to determine the champion. I like both College and NFL, they both have their good and bad points. Here is a suggestion for you. If you want to make it fun , then make bets with him on the games. This will get you more involved in the games. Just do your research on the team you want to bet him with. You dont necessarily have to bet money , you can be creative on your betting with him. It will make it more fun for you. He will probably enjoy it too. You know how guys are competitive about sports and he will appreciate you for trying.

I know what you mean. Football is so boring. Here's what you can do - move the computer to the otherside of the house, and say something like 'ok, you watch football - I'll be over here watching porn'. See how long the football thing lasts.

I find college football to be boring as well, while I enjoy watching professional football. The funny thing is, I love watching college basketball while I hate the NBA...

personally i like both but college football, they really love the game because they don't get paid. That is what i like about it. NFL, they only do it for the money. And you have more idiots that make so much money like T.O who can't play.

i personally like college football better because it is always nice to see students, as well as the rest of the population root for their favorite team. another reason why i like college football better is because when you see a player from your favorite team go into the pro's you will see how they hold up then they did in college

More so than pro. Texas Longhorns are my #1 team but in the SEC I like Auburn (Bo Jackson was one of my heroes as a kid), Big 10, I like Northwestern (my brother graduated from there) and in the Pac 10 I like Stanford (where my dad got his degree) Least fave .. probably Texas A&M .. gag 'em *a*gies LOL

College football is the greatest sport. The players are playing for the game, not money. The atmosphere is far superior to pro sports. Pro sports just bore me to death. I am so tired of hearing of players like T.O. The pros suck.

YES!!! I'm willing to bet "DH" stands for "Dumb Husband"...right?
We have the luxury of other television sets...it's often a life-saver and makes for a happier marriage! Once, I took almost all of my clothes off and walked in front of the game, it DID get his attention
so TRY it and see what happens!
