A four tail bandage is NOT like the one that goes on the finger.

It is a larger bandage used on the head and face. You can make one by tying together two handkerchiefs. I've attached a link so you can see a picture...it's used in the upper right.

The four tail was very common in WWI and WWII due to shrapnel injuries cutting vital areas of the face, head and jaw.
