i have a linksys NH1005 router and when i connect to Kai it says i need to port forward" ...someone told me i had to port forward my router, but i can't find anything to show me how to do it with this model of linksys routers

i'm trying to get my xbox on Kai, everything is together BUT the port forwarding :(

You're not going to do it with your NH1005. That's a hub, not a router.

Assuming that you do have a router, log on to the management interface. Look around for either 'Port Forwarding' or 'Virtual Server'. Set the ports and type (TCP, UDP, or both) used by Kai (get the information from them) to forward to the IP address of your computer.

LinkSys NH1005 is a hub, not a router, therefore it doesn't have port forwarding.
