Why do people who swear homosexuality is a sin and God hates it, spend so much time in this section?

Just to tell us how wrong and evil and hellbound it is?
I know this question is redundant, but anything to get away from the day-to-day droll.

I believe they possibly are 1) conflicted w/ their feelings vs. their religious beliefs 2) secretly attracted to it because they find it interesting 3) gravitate towards it because of their own repressed homosexuality 4) bigots who just like to cause trouble 5) Have nothing better to do 6) truly don't understand 7) want to participate respectfully but don't how 8) afraid and/or angry that they themselves may be gay 9) all of the above. Take your pick.

Hi, I am a Bisexual Protestant Christian. I come here almost every day when I can and look for those that do what it is you are talking about. I challenge them, because I know and believe the Bible more than they do, but they are typically too scared to lose their fake faith, or determined to pick on only those who can't defend themselves.

This being the case, they do not attempt to e-mail me, which I invite them to do.

This means that they are only being bullies. It's really as simple as that. Having the attitude that they have, they do as I said, and then run away when someone steps up to them, using the same texts that they use; it's a threat to them. That's a bully alright! The last thing a bully wants is for someone with authority to make them seem as fools and reveal to all what they are; cowards. They do not preach the Gospel message, and are NOT doing God's will. Now that classifies them as disobedient.

They have enough information to be dangerous. They are in essence, doing the devils work. They are making sure that homosexuals do not want to come to God, or are afraid to touch the subject, due to the idea that since it is a sin, that they have no chance at accepting Christ as their savior, which really IS the Gospel message. Not sin, but faith is the message they should be preaching.

I experimented when I was young, but I live a straight and happy life. My older brother was gay and contracted AIDS and died in '91. I don't condemn anybody here, even though I do respond to the questions.
From what I can gather from the negative responses that I've seen they mostly fall into 4 categories:

1) Homophobic teenagers with nothing better to do
2) People that think by harassing others they will feel better about themselves
3) Religious zealots confused by what they believe the bible is telling them is right and wrong
4) Homophobic adults that are just showing what a** munchers they truly are

N.O.P., I've noticed that the people who do this usually don't spend too much time in the religion/sprituality forum. I don't think they get along with the regulars there and so come over to LGBT to bug the heck out of people here.

If it ain't the Middle East crisis, these religious fanatic groups have no one to complain about.. and they forget one of the most important commandments he gave them... Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself...Also they can't admit that homosexuality have been in every culture since the beginning of time...What would they think if it was true about the DaVinci Code and their Jesus was never really killed but survived the Crucifixion and married Mary Magdalene and really had children,
that would really rock their world, and it has...They have run out of people and races to pick on so we are the next best thing...So they commit sin by pointing fingers and persecuting us who are trying to make a living in this cruel cruel world and will not see the pearly gates of heaven, Lord willing.. I believe and pray everyday for my sins and the type of love I give my significant other in my life is my personal business and is between me, him and my God....I don't have to answer to anyone except to him....

the reason people like to come whine so here and whine so much about it is because they do not have a life and spend their lonely nights taking it out on people who believe in homosexuality. I am not gay but that's why they do it. or maybe for SICK entertainment of trying to make people squirm

Good question!! I have always wondered that, they do spend alot more time here violating our rights to this site and preaching hate and saying God hates us all for our sexual preference, when really they should be minding their own business and leaving us alone. And for me it is not a preference I have always been attracted to girls. :)

Because the GLBT section is inexplicably grouped under the same category that religion and spirituality is, instead of with family and relationships where it better belongs.

The bashers who spend their time here just obviously have nothing better to do than to put down someone elses way of life; in reality, it just reflects the crappy life they have =) So; theyre just trying to make everyone else feel like garbage, because that is indeed; what they are...and all they have.

I think these people are wrong in singling out one particular sin to the neglect of all the others, such as drunkenness, adultery, fornication, etc.
