I was wondering, what is the purpose of the night cap, and does anyone actually wear one nowadays?

Well my grandma wears them to cover up her rollers in her hair when she sleeps and it keeps them from falling out.
I don't know of any other purposes.
Maybe to look cute or keep your head warm?

the purpose of a nightcap it to preserve the hairstyle as well as to prevent damage to the hair(IE split ends , breakage). Yes people do wear them every night.

i don't know anyone that wears one now adays, it was suppose to keep the hair style or keep the curlers in place
