because the booth challenges questionable calls under 2:00

Basically, they are trying to make the game go a little faster. Otherwise everyone would save up their time outs for the challenges within the last 2 minutes. And that would make the game go at least another 25 minutes or so.

Because the "higher" opfficials of the NFL feel that coaches would challenge anything and everything, so they would rather it be called from the booth ref. to ensure a faster flowing game.

its a dumb rule its to make the game go a little faster. only review officals can stop the game to look at play under the 2:00 min. warning

Because some rules are just dumb...Just like the one they just made,which is that you can only stack up 6 players on one side on an onside kick.What the heck is that all about.

it's not allowed. the challenge has to come from the booth.
