excuses are more fun, go with that.... my personal favorite was to pull out an old assignment and try to pass that off, and then the teacher hands it back and says something and I act embarassed and say I must have turned in the wrong assignment, thus giving myself extra time to do it

I would be responsible and stay up late and do the homework rather than appear like I didn't care about the course or the homework and make excuses. ;-)

what i don't understand is teachers give so much homework, we have to stay up late to finish it, then the teacher wonders why we're tired. You should finish your homework and take a nap during english class

Teachers never take excuses for that kind of reason so I'd say finish your homework.

Just finish the work. Formulating excuses that actually might function is more effort than just doing the work.

i replaced into an emancipated minor and may want to consequently write my personal excuses in severe college. once upon returning previous due from lunch (quarter-hour) and being despatched decrease back to the workplace to fetch an excuse I wrote that I were captured by technique of Pirates. It annoyed the instructor, yet he not in any respect wasted my time like that back. ;-))

just do the homework....................just be glad that you're not a senior at our school
allnighters 3x a week...........consider yourself lucky
i use the weekend to catch up on my sleep......that and seminar and English class (especially seminar and English.....we always have the lights off in English class sooooo.........)
i have no prob sleeping in English class since i have a 4.0 GPA (perfect)
and English is actually one of my best classes :P
but i have NEVER made excuses....i just do the homework and get the good grade in return
i think that people that make excuses are whiners...slackers....and a waste of space and taxes (our taxes)
please...i beg you...please don't waste my money or yours or anybody elses

If it's not too much, stay up late and finish it. If it is too much, just take a day off to finish it. (I do that sometimes- it's worth it).
