As everyone else is saying, it's at the top after the word Address. It's the bit starting http://....
However, it does sometimes disappear, often by dragging on it by mistake. Assuming you're using Internet Explorer (and if you're asking this question, I guess you're an entry-level user so you probably are), then go to VIEW at the top, then TOOLBARS and make sure that ADDRESS BAR is ticked. If it isn't, then tick it.
If it is ticked, and you still can't find it, look for the word Address somewhere on the load of toolbars at the top. You may have installed some plug-ins that have made the address area very small. Try dragging them around.

In the address bar, (where you type what site you want to go to,) you could copy and paste the stuff in the bar.

look at the top of the screen you'll see a bar, next to it, in a small box it says address, like this
