22 years doing what??? Was your job specialized? If so, you have a wealth of experience to offer another employer!! Think about the wonderful stability you have to offer, and consider yourself a teacher for others. Evaluate your skills. You must be really excellent at what you do to have stayed so long! Write those skills down to show yourself what you have to offer the next employer. Write them up in a resume or have someone else write it up for you. Think of how you can use all that knowledge and experience to continue your job path. Many times we get "stuck" in a habitual job, and only find out how great the next job can be once we are forced into pursuing it! Good Luck in the next leg of the journey!

Look at the positives involved in your job. You have 22 years experience and you know more about your job than others who have been there almost as long as you. You have how many years before you retire??? WOOHOO that is something to look forward to. You obviously like your job or you wouldn't of been doing it for 22 years. Be happy that you still have a job.
If possible brighten up your work place , change the radio station to more upbeat music. Do something different like go out for lunch or eat lunch outside, take a later or earlier lunch!
Keep smiling you are doing great!

I was at my job for 27 years so I do know what it's like for you, too. 22 years is a long time at one job. I finally left and started working at home doing transcription work, but I had a pretty good early retirement package. If you can't do that then try varying your routine as much as you can to make each day a little different. Hang in there if you absolutely can't leave and try something new because you've got a really good job history going and it'd be a shame to lose it. Good luck.

I think we should focus more on raising our families and spending time with friends more than our jobs. As it is today it is required that you spend a large amount of your awake time on the job and everything else has to work around it. Our population is big enough that everyone should only spend about 4 hours on the job 5 days a week so that they can tend to more important matters. Unfortunately society does not allow this and survive as well. 22 years on the job. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you are successful in what you are doing.

Having a job should be a choice, not a requirement to survive or a religion. We all no matter how rich should have some sort of land to live on and grow food without payment to anyone. Jobs should just be to pay for luxeries and we should work a lot less hours for others and work for our selves and families. Who cares about making an employer money.

a known posion is often better than an unknown danger.
Suggest ThinkRightNow.com explore their info and use some of it.
spent seven long dark years in depression that drugs didn't help. tried their stuff and in 6 mths was able to return to work as a productive member. used their stuff to change carreers and increase income 70% within 1 year. Added excercise program and can walk with out walker. Only time you can not change is when they throw the last shovel of dirt on your coffin.
go with knowledge and luck
