Yes, and they are also falling all over the ground. And I know why, too. Leaves on trees change colors because they don't get as much sun in the fall. The chlorophyll in leaves makes food for the leaf with sunlight. This is called photosynthesis. But, since the sun is covered by clouds in fall and winter, the leaves lose their chlorophyll. The chlorophyll is green, which makes the leaves green. Since the chlorophyll is breaking down, the leaves change colors because the chlorophyll is what makes the leaves green.

Yes but where I live they change color in stages. The ash trees were bright yellow but are quite bare now. The sugar maples are ablaze in reds and oranges and their leaves are now falling. The red maples are just beginning to turn and are mostly yellows this year. The silver maples are completely green as are the white oaks. I'll be raking leaves until Thanksgiving!

I live in the country, There are trees everywhere. The leaves are yellow, and orange. It looks pretty awsome. I love the way it looks this time. Its really pretty here.I just hate the cold.

yea like 3 days ago only a couple of trees were but today like mostly all of them are......and the leaves are falling....but we had tons of wind yesterday
