I was thinking that the lord has blessed me sooo much and thought why not pass it on. Children need help more than anyone I know,What do u guys think about adopting??? How would I go about doing it(adopting that is)

We just completed the adoption of an older child from Colombia and we have a blog about it. Write me directly and I'll send you the web address.
It certainly has been worth it and we'd do it all over.
Right now she is in the next room watching Rocky the Flying Squirrel, in Spanish.

Adoption is an awesome thing. Sometimes it is not so easy to do. There are private agencies as well as state agencies that will work with you on adoption. Older children are needing homes, but always remember that most will come with some baggage and it requires much time and patience.
Infants are harder to adopt and more than likely will be very costly.

Do the homework. Meet with adoption agencies and take some classes in child care. That should help.

in spite of adopting child; why don't you go for old?
now a days old people need more care and affection than children. so start adopting old one who need love and care instead of child.

I don't know but i just wanted to say that I have been thinking the same thing... my kids are grown and I am just 48yo... good if you do adopt...

there are alot of children that need good homes......you have to register with the adoption agency in your area...you are then interviewed and there is a certain critera you have to meet....have a home, an income, etc.....then you go on a waiting list....good luck.....adopting is a gift that keeps on giving....

I never would because you never know the drug history or mental history of the mother or father,, i know several people that have adopted and always have had some health or mental problem
