Any time is a good time to visit. However, if you dont like the heat then I would suggest October thru April. Spring in the desert is one of the most colorful times, the flowers are begining to bloom and are an awesome sight to behold. Blooming season begin in late February and continues into June.

Winter is not a good time. The 'brown cloud' that hangs over the city is not fun to look at. Esp if you want to go into the mountains. Unfortuantly, the only time I remember the brown cloud not being there as much was during the summer monsoons, but you wouldn't want to go then either. I would say during the spring. The smell of the orange tree is amazing.

i would say:
oct - april
nice weather. cold at night. which is good. cus then the next day is all nice and breezy. days are warm but you wont sweat.
winter is beautiful here. but it does get really cold at night and in the early mornings. but during the day its nice.
from may - sept:
its hot and sticky and it can reach up the 119 degrees outside. not a good time to be out in the sun. you can faint.
when it gets close to september we have mansoon season. thats where we get thunderstorms at night. lightning trikes hard here too. we get dust storms during the day and high winds. its crazy. causing floods in certain areas. but its not like each day. it comes and goes.
best times to visit:
oct - april
if you come during winter. make sure you bring your winter cloths. it gets cold here too.

winter is probably the best time although early spring isn't too bad either.
months to most definitely avoid are may-august. it's starts to heat up (highs around 95) in may and then keeps going up from there usually reaching highs of about 110-115 in june-august.
winter our highs usually hang out around mid to upper 50's-so it's really nice...

March or April. The cactus are blooming and the weather is nice and warm but not yet hot.

Right now is good we have warm days, about 88 degrees and a nice breeze. Winter is good too.
