I am interested in pursuing a career in Musical Theater. I would like to go to NYU, because you're in the city-which is an easy way to get introduced to casting directors, producers etc.

I looked at NYU's website and Saw they had Acting, Drama and Music Theatre. What is the difference of all which should I do? I would be interested in Voice performance too. But there really isn't a "musical theater" program-at least I don't think!

I Also Want to pursue a carrer in musical theatre, possibly anyways. I was looking at schools like University of Hartford, Western Illinois University, and Northwestern ILlniois University. They all have great musical theatre programs, but if you want to go to NYU Music Theatre is probaly the closest thing to Musical Theatre - it's practically the same. and if you feel that it isnt enough double major with drama or acting, or you could just go to another school your confortable with.
