Since this is a question on who's "My favorite" rather than who's the "Best ever", I would say my favorite is Allen Iverson. He plays every games like its his last game. I don't think there is anyone in the league that plays with more heart than AI. He is a freak of nature being able to still put up more than 30pts, 8 assists, and 2 steals per game and this guy is over 30 years old! At any given moment, he can win the game all by himself. Not that there isn't players (today) that can do that too (i.e. T-Mac (when healthy), Kobe, Vince Carter, and etc...) but I believe he's the smallest guy that could do that out of the current players. What impresses me more is his mental toughness. He gets banged up all the time, yet most of the time he bites the bullet and continues to play the next game. All in all, I think AI is a guy worthy of respect even though he may act like a thug, but he's arguably one of the best "smallest" player that the NBA has seen.

MichaeL Jordan.

His will to win should be the standard for all players whether basketball or anyother sport.
He expected nothing short of greatness from his teammates, and coaches. On the Court His skills could not be touched, and his love for the game was unmatched. So many years we all know he was underpaid, but he continued to play the game with nothing less than 100% each and everynight. He made those around him better, and it's an honor when the opposing team is game planning to stop you and not the rest of the squad. Off Court he was and is still the most sought after person for advertising, his name alone was the conerstone of Gatorade, McDonalds, Hanes, Nike, Coca Cola, Chevy, Jewerly, Cologne, Songs, Movies, Disney, Talks shows, and a host others. A Champion on the Court and A Class act off Court.

Of all time - Reggie Miller - He overcame many physical problems growing up...they thought he'd never even walk, let alone play pro ball. When he finally made it to the league, No one thought he'd last and he proved everyone wrong. It's BS that he wasn't listed as one of the 50 greatest players. Maybe he was more of specialist than a complete player but in his prime he was the man. No one wanted the job of guarding him, and he embodies the concept of "team" better than a lot of players. And there's always what he did to the knicks...

Of right now - Jermaine O'Neal - J.O., when he is healthy and is playing his true position of power forward, is one of the best power forwards in the league. His game would be even better if Indiana had a more effective center; the way he played with Brad Miller was impressive. He holds franchise records for rebounds and blocks, and his game, as a whole, gets better every year.

Yeah...I'm an Indiana fan...

Shawn Marion is pound for pound the best player in the NBA. He can score, get rebounds, block shots, steal the ball, shoot 3 pointers, and get assists. For as much as he handles the ball his turn over ratio is lower than most of his peers. Dirk Nowitski, Elton Brand, Kevin Garnett, and DuWayne Wade all run a close second but Shawn Marion is the MAN. All around better player than LeBron James, Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant, and Allen Iverson.

Allen Iverson...he plays among giants as a regular 6'0" guy. He is pound for pound the best player ive ever seen. The thing that kills me about him, is he's not an outside shooter so much as he likes to drive and get to the rim. Thats unheard of at 6'0" tall. Actually he's the only player ive seen that does such things. He is so tough and he's impossible to guard. The guy drives the lane despite EVERYONE that is waiting for him there is more than likely 8-14 inches taller than he is, and he still somehow scores at will. Jordan was known as a great defender, and Iverson as a rook shook him left and right. He always hustles, he always plays hard. He may have an attitude but anyone who is worth a damn does. He's NEVER intimidated, and accomplishes things on such a high level despite his lack of size...its amazing.

Of all time, I'm saying Larry Bird. Absolute gunner from the outside, made his teammates better, a dynamite player all around.
Of today, my favorite is Andre Kirelinko, simply because he is putting up numbers in every category. He gets points, boards, assists, as well as a fair amount of steals and blocks on a very consistent basis. He has on more than one occasion recorded a 5x5, and in my opinion, if he stays healthy, he has the potential to record a quintuple double.

of all-time
Michael Jordan
He does things that many players today want to do. He seems like the high standard when it comes to greatness. His ability to takeover games, his competitive drive and will to win are the main reasons why he's my favorite.

in today's game
Dwayne Wade
He has a game of his own. He seems virtually unstoppable at times. He can takeover games when need be and never forces the action. He's gaining a jumpshot which makes him a much more dangerous player. And his game reminds me of nobody else's.

Tim Duncan. have been on condition that his arrival. observed him on condition that his days at Wake, and grew to alter right into a Spurs fan clarification for him ( then by way of Manu ). Already ranked interior of suitable 50 gamers of all time and nevertheless has 5-6 years left. Oddly adequate in a roundabout way regardless of his communities championships, and his non-supply up all celebrity appearances, is going slightly decrease than rated, in simple terms reason he doesnt commonplace 28ppg. stupid concept. those gamers that avergae that, do they look after as nicely as he? no longer. Hes an all around participant. could desire to attain, pull down boards, averages a double double maximum of time, even blocks, respectively, and has come on in final couple seasons with effective assists totals. in simple terms his TO's worry me often times.

Lebron James because he is going to be the best player ever. He shows a class act to the NBA, unlike Kobe Bryant.

Bruce Bowen - San Antonio Spurs. All-Defensive Team for six consecutive seasons and has played in 190 consecutive games. He is relentless as a defender and won't back down. I've seen him shut down some of the best shooters holding them to the lowest shooting percentage of their careers. Not to mention making them look like fools when they lose their cool and go after him.
