Desmond can see the future.
Who know if anyone will realize it for a while or if it is related to the Hatch imploding.

Desmond and Hurley had a conversation in which Desmond referred to the speech Locke made at the end of the episode. It was like Desmond had already seen the future. So Hurley was having deja-vu when Locke actually made the speech.

He said deja-vu because desmond had mentioned Lock's speech to Hurly earlier in the episode....before Lock gave the speech.

Prior to Locke giving his speech Desmond said to Hurley that Locke was going to go back and save everyone which, in turn, was exactly what Locke said in his speech.

No sorry, I did not get what they are leading too. I didn't remember anything from last season, that featured Desmond, that Hurley would remember. Maybe it is something new to us, and will be told on the story line.

Maybe it was because he had just heard Locke say the exact thing that Desmond told him he'd say.
Or maybe it was when Hurley heard two different people mention Locke's speech.
That's what I got from it. I wasn't sure either.
