My son is 14 with the mind of a 7 year old. Known learning disabilities, ADHD and behaivoral problems. Has attended learninng disabled schools since he was 6. I was in the building and asked 3 times to see my son but they refused.

That is what lawyers are for (besides being the well-deserved butt of a lot of good jokes), to know and exert the appropriate pressure in the right ways. Unless you are a medical doctor, your advice is irrelevant or to be ignored in a hospital, unless you are a lawyer and know the key legal points and the way they should be presented you are at an equal disadvantage in the police station.

I don't know what your son did, but it was apparently pretty serious stuff and for that you need a lawyer. This is the kind of treatment when they try adolescents as adults. Sorry.

Police do a lot of thing that they can get away with,because no one questions their behavior.The Police need more law suits filed against them,I question why why a idiot with limited training,believe they are above the Law.

"Detain" yes, "question" that is another question entirely. I believe your son either had to have you or a lawyer present, but you'd almost have to approve of the lawyer.
