Well...I think that it is possible to be married for that long without ACTUALLY cheating. I'm not saying that there won't be moments of weakness when you think about other people or flirt with other people, but I think that if you really love someone, you will be able to avoid actually committing an act which is considered cheating.

No, you should not confront your dad. Your mother shouldn't have said anything to you either. They are both being selfish. Your mother by bringing the kids into the situation and your father for cheating. Tell your mom you are sorry he is cheating on her, but prefer not to get involved with this. Your father was either given a reason to cheat or your mother has accepted his pattern of cheating if it is not the first time. This is definitely a private situation you should all stay out of. The reason I say this is because how will you view your dad if they should happen to work things out and she is later very loving about/towards him? Will you be as accepting? Also, you are not aware if she has ever cheated and perhaps your dad never informed you. Marriage problems between them can hurt parent/child relationships.

Yes, I strongly believe that It's possible too be married 30 yrs and not cheat...even longer than 30 years actually.
If a man and a woman really love each other and take their wedding vowels serious...they will have no desire too cheat on their spouse..

Yes, its possible! With so many second (or more) time marriages out there, things like cheating definatly come up in the dating stage! Some people have been destroyed by cheating and so a never-gonna-cheat spouse is a BIG pre-reg. Yes, totally possible!

My Mom and Dad were married for 42 years and I have no doubt they didnt cheat .I know when my Dad died my Mom said she lost her best friend and didnt know how she could ever go on without him. After all those years they still had that spark the one we all should be lucky enough to have .When she entered a room my Dad would follow her every move he treated her like a queen and I know he was her prince!

Commitment is commitment. If you are truly committed to your marriage then the amount of years really wouldn't matter.
So yes, I believe people can be married 30 years and more and still be faithful.

Cheating?
Surely, there would been many instances
of cheating, including major ones.

But the mariages last because of
the willingness to pardon each other
(small cheating cases).

But when the cheatings are major
ones, then it does not last for so long.

It is possible if you are dedicated to your marriage no matter what. If you are a looking for a NO answer, then you probably have decided to look and find a fling. Go back to your husband/wife and be happy. Work it out.
