Do not drive your vehicle. Any tech that would make your vehicle unsafe to drive should be avoided at all cost. You have 4 wheels on your vehicle and all 4 need to be able to stop. It is definitely NOT OK to drive with only 3 of your 4 wheels braking. If you are in a hard braking (panic stop) situation, the vehicle will swerve uncontrollably.

A sticking caliper pin can be easily unstuck using basic grease. That is a much easier job than disabling one wheel. Be very, very suspicious of this "guy".

Have your vehicle towed to a qualified repair facility, and never have this "guy" work on your vehicle again.

Probably not legal to drive on three brakes, however since it is the rear wheel, probably no skid or spin would happen because the brakes are designed so the front brakes lock first before the rear brakes do.

If this was a front brake, you would notice the car would pull toward the working brake side.

Well it should be OK to drive with only 3 brakes as long as you take it easy. I think maybe it is the caliper piston that is sticking. This is the piece that provides the clamping force to the pads. Squeezing the pads to brake on the disk. Hope this helps!!!

your problem may not be the fault of the new caliper. The brake line itself may have caused you to replace this part in the first place. It may be that the flexible brake line for that wheel has internal collapse,,preventing the brake fluid from bleeding back to release the pads. Try this. Back off on the bleeder screw of the new caliper for just a moment an see if fluid squirts,,then tighten it up. Now see if the car moves any better. Dont step on the brakes when you do this,,,,so you will have to chock the wheel /keep it it park/--- for safety.
