Why do people like wear designer stuff even if that stuff is fake?

some people buy it because they want to show how much money they got. on the other hand, some don't have money but wanted to look rich.

Ok, well first off, Abercrombie is NOT designer. Chanel and Marc Jacobs are designer. I can't stand knock-offs. I can spot fake purses a mile away. What I don't know is why someone would want a purse with little "C"s and "LV"s all over them? I think that looks ugly. It's even worse when it's a knock-off. Some people wear that stuff because they want to be cool, just how the people at my school wear "Abercrombie" plastered all over their chests so people will think they're rich. Abercrombie isn't expensive and why would somebody pay to advertise for that store? Designer clothing is better quality so it will last a long time. Some people work hard for their money and if they want to spend it on designer clothes, that's their choice. Just because a person wears designer clothes doesn't mean they are stupid or a *****. There are people like Paris Hilton who probably created that stereotype though. If a person is like "Oh, I just got this $1200 Marc Jacobs bag for my birthday!" then that is annoying. ♥

some people like to flaunt, others think they need to keep up with the hi-brow lot. Actually, a lot of the fake stuff look so real - even the designers themselves can get fooled. Hence, why buy the real things at 10x the price?

Most people who have to wear designer clothes are looking for worth. Personally i believe that clothing is for covering. Quality matters more than who the designer is

I disagree with people who say it's stupid. I think designer outfits are very trendy. It makes you feel like you're a model and on the runway. They look good, that's it!
